Council Meeting

That the meeting of the Council of the Municipality of Dutton Dunwich opens at 5:00p.m. Motion:

THAT the Council of the Municipality of Dutton Dunwich receives and decides to proceed with the Section 4(1)(c) petition under the Drainage Act submitted by Allan Hodgins; and THAT the petitioner be notified of Council's decision to proceed; and THAT an engineer will be appointed under the appropriate section of the Drainage Act after the 30-day time period of Council's decision to proceed has been sent to the LTVCA and OMAFRA and has passed. Motion:

THAT Council of the Municipality of Dutton Dunwich receives the letter from the West Lorne Optimists AND THAT Council permits the usage of the municipal portion of Dunborough Road on May 10, 2026 for the Mother's Day Road Race. Motion:

THAT Council of the Municipality of Dutton Dunwich receives and supports the resolution from the Township of McNab/Braeside regarding Heritage Organization Development Grant advocacy; AND THAT a copy of this resolution be sent to Rob Flack - MPP, Andrew Lawton - MP and the Township of McNab/Braeside. Motion:

THAT Council of the Municipality of Dutton Dunwich receives and supports the resolution from the Town of Whitby regarding a comprehensive review of provincial-municipal fiscal framework; AND THAT a copy of this resolution be sent to Rob Flack - MPP, Andrew Lawton - MP and the Town of Whitby. Motion:

THAT the Council of the Municipality of Dutton Dunwich receives for information the report from the Chief Administrative Officer titled “Temporarily Back-Feed Drinking Water Through the Iona Interconnect.”, AND THAT the Council of the Municipality of Dutton Dunwich authorize the temporary back-feeding of drinking water to the Township of Southwold through the Iona Interconnect during the scheduled shutdown of the St. Thomas Secondary Water Supply System. Motion:

THAT Council approve the installation of a seasonal Dutton Farmers Market signs, provided that municipal staff complete the installation and the signage does not create any driving obstructions. Motion:

THAT By-law #2026-15, being a by-law to authorize temporary borrowing to meet the current expenditures of the municipality for the year ending December 31, 2026, be read a first, second and third time and passed. Motion:

THAT By-law #2026-16, being a by-law to authorize the execution of a transfer payment agreement for the Community Emergency Preparedness Grant, be read a first, second and third time and passed. Motion:

THAT By-law #2026-17, being a by-law to confirm the proceedings of the Municipal Council of the Municipality of Dutton Dunwich, be read a first, second and third time and passed. Motion:
